Music was in kotsy’s blood from a very young age. Growing up in Ajax with a father that was constantly listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors etc – it was only inevitable that he would develop a love for music as well. After some short-lived piano lessons, kotsy’s musical taste switched to the world of modern rock - Metallica, Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine etc. It wasn’t until after listening to 102.1 The Edge go live-to-air from The Phoenix with DJ Dwight in Toronto that the idea of being a DJ piqued kotsy’s interest. Software was downloaded immediately and the interest grew further.

After finally purchasing proper equipment and learning the ropes, kotsy started moving dance floors at house parties and corporate functions. It wasn’t until he moved away to Loyalist College in Belleville that he would land his first residency at The Shark Tank Pub playing Top 40 and opening up for Canadian acts such as Not By Choice, Treble Charger, Gob, Kazzer and Jersey. With some big room experience under his belt, kotsy picked up another residency at Belleville’s biggest and most popular club – Matt & Joe’s Night Club. Here he had the opportunity to open for more Canadian talent like Thornley, Hurst, 54-40, Bif Naked, Britt Black, Hinder, The Trews, Rocketface, Default & Oliver Black. Another residency at The Hub Night Club followed before kotsy finally took on a residency at Stages Night Club in Kingston, where he could finally let loose and play his latest love without constraints - house music.

Recently kotsy has relocated to Toronto and is ready to make an impact on another round of dance floors.
